- The Sixers are bad. (I think. Was that win streak a total fluke or are these devastating losses a fluke...Looks like the former.) They could have had the players just stand on the sideline for the last 2 min against the Bucks last night and not lost any worse. They should be better than this though, right? I think we might have to admit Sammy is just a tall layman in a NBA center's clothing (I mean those 2 missed FTs? come on!), but Iggy's good! Webber's good! Iverson's good! Why can't all these good parts make a whole team?? Oh, I don't know, maybe it's the complete refusal to play defense or get an offensive board. One player on an opposing team frequently gets more than our whole team combined. We're talking like 5 a game. Iverson could average 50 for the season shooting 50% (which isn't so crazily off from the current numbers in what could be one of his best seasons) and we'd still lose b/c the other team is rebounding and scoring off those 15 shots he misses. Argh. I don't even want to say it, but it's not out of the question that the Sixers will have to trade Iverson and tank a season or two if they ever want to be good again in the next few decades or if he wants to win before he retires.

The issue is defense. When Sammy gets back in shape, and they start playing together this team can be 5th or 6th best team in the East. They need a big body to just box out and rebound since Sammy and Hunter do pretty much the same thing. And if Korver is making over five million I expect him to shoot over 40% from three.
