Are you a Nowitzness or a Wadeness?

I'm pleasantly surprised that we might actually have an exciting NBA finals on our hands as the culmination of some pretty exciting 2 months (where the hell did that time go?!) of playoff basketball.

So who's going to win? I've never been a fan of Dallas before, just didn't particularly like watching them play, but they've been pretty good this year. I like Terry, really like the Little General and what he's done in such a short time, don't like Nowitzki. Maybe it's because he's German, maybe it's because he's not so attractive, but I just don't want him taking the last shot for my team. I can, however, appreciate the unintentional comedy he's provided by telling someone he thinks of a David Hasslehoff song while shooting free throws.

On the other hand, I love the Heat and Wade, I've been on that bandwagon since I watched him dominate in the 2004 first round against the Hornets. With Shaq and Pat Riley's hostile takeover they don't have that underdog feel anymore, but I still enjoy Wade enough to root for them.

However, I'm gonna have to pick Dallas in the end. I think the Heat lucked out with Detroit running out of steam...Dallas has too many people who can step up, and after coming from behind in Game 6 to stop Phoenix, I don't see how they're stoppable.

I'm pullin for the Heat for a few reasons: 1. Alonzo Mourning - go hoyas! remember when we all signed a get well card for him in red square? 2. I like Shaq 3.My boyfriend has an unhealthy obsession with Antoine Walker so we've been following him all season. Anymore I find Toine's whining/obnoxious bits kinda funny and endearing...

Zo's obnoxious celebrating has turned me off to him of late, but I'll always have a soft spot for him since he was my first favorite player--I still have his poster and shorts from the hornets. Plus he actually showed up (and caused girls to scream literally every time he spoke) when I went to see him, Iverson, and my beloved Kenny Smith at Georgetown.

Toine fan now? Next thing I know I'm gonna come to your place and find you watching Larry Legend and Red Sox dvds.

I promise I won't! I told you about that bar that at last call plays about 30 minutes of Boston sports highlights - the boys always make me stay and watch the whole thing and I get so angry!

No, I was tricked by my boyfriend into allowing him to name the fish he bought Tom Brady.
