People are ridiculous

Apparently this Antonio Davis thing is a huge deal, despite the fact that "Tony" sort of sauntered into the stands and did nothing once he got there. In light of last year's brawl, I can see why people are nervous, and the punishment makes sense. According to NBA rules, which Davis helped devise as president of the Player's Association, going into the stands in any way is an automatic ejection, which always results in suspensions, and the league had to assert its authority. But now the fan involved wants to sue the Davises/get an apology from them?? Apparently he's worried about his reputation after he was identitfied as an "intoxicated gentleman" in Tony's statement. Guess what, no one would have known who you were, let alone think anything bad about you, if you hadn't immediately gotten a lawyer and a PR person and gone on the news to tell your story. I'm sure it was very traumatic to be "assaulted" by an NBA wife and to be face-to-face with a player, but you think you're actually going to win a lawsuit?

And I'm not exempt from being ridiculous either. Reading the cover of US Weekly in the packed elevator today, I actually audibly gasped at BRAD'S FINAL INSULT!: Angelina was pregnant before Brad and Jen's divorce was final!! I was so embarrassed. a) That news really isn't that exciting and b) I couldn't even explain it as my guilty pleasure because the elevator was all elderly men. US and I may need to take a break before things get too serious.
