Why don't you trip right off a bridge Cammy?

I have an irrational dislike for Cameron Diaz. I think it started when she took JT off the market and was confirmed when I wasted my time watching her in The Sweetest Thing, aka The Worst Movie Ever. Either way, I can't stand to look at her now. Slate comes through again with a little commentary on her MTV show, Trippin'. This spurred me to do a little "hate Cameron Diaz" google; unfortunately, only 105,000 websites turned up, but at least I know I'm not alone.

UPDATE: Looks like the day I've been dreading is almost here. Barf.

Next:
Does anyone else think it's bizarre that the Pope has a public email address? Benedictxvi@vatican.va. In theory I'm sure it's good for making the church modern and accessible and all that, but it just seems impractical. (I keep seeing the scene from Bruce Almighty Jim Carrey's getting emailed millions of prayers.) Plus, what does one say to the Pope when one emails him?

Your Eminence,
Any progress with your backward stance on contraception, among other things? Let me know.
Bob

Finally:
The ADA was in an uproar yesterday over the CDC's report that, in their study last year, they may have slightly exaggerated the deaths from obesity by a couple hundred thousand people, meaning that rather than the 2nd leading preventable cause of death it's only 7th or so. It turns out that while my company's mission is curing diabetes, which in large part involves promoting good general health, it in fact has a vested interest in a high rate of obesity. A health-oriented business can't thrive if there aren't unhealthy people to preach to, right? If I was really committed to the ADA, I'd be very disheartened to learn it's just one big circle of employing hundreds of people to work hard to try to cure diabetes, but not hard enough to actually cure it and stop making money.

Exactly my feelings on drug companies, Browsh. They don't want to cure you of your diseases. They just want to keep you alive so you'll keep buying their drugs. They want you just well enough to get to the pharmacist.

p.s. i also think Cameron Diaz should die.

My dad has told me on numerous occasions that I am what is wrong with healthcare in America. My non-profit pays me to educate people, who are the bosses of the bosses of of the bosses of the people who provide actual healthcare. What's more effecive for improving the health of the nation, me doing that or funneling my salary to pay for health coverage for six families?

You know who I hate on Trippin? That Farnsworth Bentley (who cares what his real name is) character. He seems to have no interest in the environment, has the attention span of a gnat, and looks generally uncomfortable being away from a P Diddy party. I'm pretty indifferent to Cam, but I hate when celebrities make statements they think are profound but just come out sounding obvious and moronic. They should've just finished high school.

I haven't watched the show because I don't want to support Cam so I can't comment on Farnsworth. I usually like him though, maybe he just needs to stick to popping up in videos and holding P Diddy's umbrella. And for the record, I'm not a fan of Drew Barrymore either.

Also, I think FB legally had his name changed to that, and I believe he went to med school at some prestigious historically black college. go figure.

    a. i love the blog...so funny.
    b. i too harbor an intense hatred for cameron diaz...the origin of which is unknown. she just drives me absolutely insane. i hate and am completely embarassed to admit that i have actually seen 1 episode of "trippin'". redman was on it. i kind of like red man. and i think he was the best part of that episode. but what really annoyed me was how on the beginning of the show cameron talks about taking these trips with her "good friends" and whatnot. i, for one, find it hard believe that cameron diaz is super tight with red man.
