Shout outs

Hey Xiao

I just saw that your comment to my first post like months ago, and I wanted to address it. Do I like hip hop? Hmph. Didn't your mother always tell you "don't judge a book by its cover?" Quite, white, petite girls from the suburbs can't get down? I bet you also assumed Colleen wouldn't get the John Legend album and choose the song with a talking penis as her favorite. (It's ok, neither did I.)

But seriously. Yes, I do love hip hop, and the whole African-American culture. I can't keep my hips still when someone drops a beat. Many people are surprised by this; the first time I got in the car with my old coworkers and power 99 came on you should have seen their faces. (I went on to shock them even more by turning on WIP next, and later that day making Luda my buddy icon on msn messenger.) Though I like Uncle O (oh! oh! oh!), power 99 is NOT my favorite station, as it has not only contaminated the airwaves with Star and Bucwild and the improbably addictive Wendy Williams, but it is run by evil clear channel, whose evil is second only to walmart. 103.9 is my favorite station. I adore Colby Colb, if only he wasn't married and 300 lbs. I also really love at the end of Michael Shawn's show when they all sing "Let's Stay Together."

In conclusion, Xiao, hip hop's awesome. Thanks for letting a sister roll

(PS: Shout out to Ed for also enjoying the blog's title. Sorry for questioning your sexuality, but glad you enjoyed it!)
