Hey
It's Friday the 13th. Thanks to DCist for connecting that it's both the 13th and Friday, because I acknowledged both those points separately several times this morning and made no connection. My family likes to embrace the number 13 as being good luck, but today's starting off kinda slow for me.
Happy Birthday Jenny Pap.
More importantly, it's free Frosty weekend at Wendy's. When I saw a commercial earlier in the week I thought I had to be hallucinating. But no, the Wendy's people were on the radio this morning promoting it and their website says it. So don't forget to pick up your free frosty and some fries to dip in it during what I hope is an exciting weekend.

They were talking about it on the radio today too. Even the Wendy's rep dips her fries.
Are you sure I didn't know Francis Getty? I know it now, why wouldn't I have known it before?

oh, friend. am so happy to hear that someone in the void is amused by our sillies. am so glad you have decided to tune in. and, if reading my blog makes you a stalker, then i must be...umm...worse. i spend the first hour of my workdays catching up on strangers' lives. for the record, i had the exact acknowledgment of today that you did. until my boss informed me that just because it's [casual] friday the thirteenth doesn't mean i can come to work dressed like a boy (wearing polo and deck shoes). she's just sweatin' my stylo, homie dawg. or, she can smell the alcohol seeping through my pores. whatever. <3doubledenim

Beth: had I known revealing that Francis Getty and Marybeth McCusker have the same birthday would give you an advantage, I never would have done it! I think that birthday should be stricken from the record, and we need to get working on a birthday Battle Royale with an independent mediator.
Jess: welcome! you should tell your boss to talk to my boss. he's incorporated "the drinking sickness" into our list of acceptable reasons for taking a sick day and therefore i'm sure wouldn't mind if his employees came to work dressed as boys, as long as there was also alcohol seeping out of their pores. this should be the status quo at all offices.

I work with proofreading weirdos rather then engineering weirdos, so no, my office is not preparing for the Star Wars opening. However, I am constantly dismayed that the 10% of employees here who are both male and heterosexual have no interest in sports and give me crazy looks when I try to talk about it. I'm up for commiserating about that.
